User persona
Marie, 24y.o. student from Germany. Get information about current exhibitions to expand her knowledge of culture and history, as well as the opportunity to purchase a student card.
  • Story behind
Marie likes to travel and likes to know new cultures. Since she travels often, it is difficult for her to plan everything in advance and she does not know where she will be on a certain day and what she will do. As a student, she can’t afford expensive things.
  • Conext of use
She uses the site to plan her tourist trip, looks at the exhibitions on those dates and chooses the one she likes best, and has a student discount. She prefers to buy a ticket directly at the museum at a student discount.
  • Barriers
Difficulty finding information about exhibitions on the website.
Each country has its own rules for visiting a museum.
There may be no student discounts.
Informational structure
After conducting research, competitor analysis, and assessing the strengths and weaknesses, it was decided to simplify the website structure and make it more user-friendly. Only relevant and useful information for museum visitors was retained on the website.
Sketches
Before diving into wireframe creation, I first translated my ideas into detailed sketches for each page. This initial step allowed me to visualize the layout and functionality, ensuring a clear and effective design from the outset.

UI kit
Familjen Grotesk font is used to show the modern look, something fresh and new. This font was used in capital letters for headings or main messages.
It is a good pair for Familjen Grotesk. Also modern, simple and clear. Was used in body texts.
This font was used for accents, as something unexpected, and also to connect modern with herritage and history.

Comparison
In summary, the new pages are cleaner and modern. The blocks are structured and easy to navigate. The design is bold with a touch of brutalism, yet elegant, reflecting our connection to heritage and history.
The home page features a more spacious design, with ample "air" around each block. While there is less text, all important information is still present. The page is now more interactive and visually appealing, inviting users to scroll and explore the content.
The Visit Us page merges two older pages into one, optimizing the user experience. Visitors no longer need to click multiple times to find museum information. At the top, a switcher allows easy selection of the museum, displaying all relevant details on a single page.
